FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY LONDON

I am a South London family photographer but your family photography session can be held at your London home in South London, East London, West London or Central London. This is much more relaxing for your family than a studio as your children are in a familiar environment. I will set up in your bedroom and throw a blanket over the bed to make a background. I will normally pose you for family photos against a blank wall. I can also take photos of your children playing in their bedroom or in your garden.

Your family photoshoot can also be held in your favourite London park, my preference with older children.

Family photoshoots can take up to 2 hours. I only book in one family photography session per day, so it feels super relaxed and not rushed. I don’t time sessions and I will stay until I know I have captured all of the photos you want!

I will take a variety of photos of your children, often playing and running around, whatever it takes to get those smiles! In terms of the family photos I will take some traditional posed portraits but then I will ask you to just play and interact with your child so I can capture those natural moments between you. 

Light colours are best – doesn’t need to be totally plain but please avoid bright patterns/ tops with logos. Siblings should be coordinated! 

For the grown-ups, it’s best to wear light/mid, non-patterned clothes which coordinate with each other and your children. Similar colours/ tones work best especially for black and white photos. 

I am happy for you to send me a screenshot of your proposed outfits before your session so that I can advise if they work together.

I have spent lots of time with kids so I have many tricks to get children to cooperate so don’t worry if you think they won’t sit still! I will be very silly to encourage natural smiles and make friends with them. Bribes always work too 🙂

In the rare occasion that they don’t play ball, I will return on a day when they are in a better mood. Your session is also flexible if your child is sick, as there is no point trying to get photos of an unwell child. 

Although I am a South London family photographer I also provide family photography sessions in Central London, West London and East London too. I will travel up to an hour from Herne Hill SE24 – anything over this (c10 miles) will incur an additional travel charge.

The session fee must be paid at the time of booking your family photoshoot. Payment for collections and products is due at the time of ordering. 

After your family’s session, I will provide around 20-30 images in a mix of colour and black and white for you to view. Your viewing will be either via an in-person ordering appointment or online gallery. I aim to get your images ready for the viewing within one week of your shoot.

Orders must be made either on the day of your ordering appointment or within a week of your online gallery being posted. You can order collections, digital images, prints, albums and wall art products. 

All digital images ordered will be professionally retouched, with blemishes, background etc removed. I will supply you with high resolution images with full printing rights, either via We Transfer download or on a USB.
