Many of you have been asking for newborn baby photography sessions during this current lockdown. Unfortunately government Covid guidelines mean I can’t currently work 🙁 The close contact I need to have in order to pose your beautiful babies is just not safe at the moment. But I hope to be able to come to your London homes for your newborn baby photoshoot soon. Parents are understandably worried about missing out on newborn photos during this time, as photos are traditionally done in the first two weeks. But don’t worry, I can still capture beautiful photos of your babies at any time. Many clients had to wait to have their photoshoots a little later after the first lockdown, like little Kyle who I captured at his home at his newborn baby photography session in Clapham, South London at 6 weeks new.
Babies are a little less curled up at 6-8 weeks than at 2 weeks but I will still be able to capture those gorgeous sleepy newborn photos you all love so much, like these ones above and below. In fact, babies pose better on their hands when they are a little bigger, plus they often have a bit more gorgeous squishiness 🙂
One huge advantage of having your newborn baby photoshoot later is being able to also capture photos of your baby with their eyes wide open. At 1-2 weeks this is sometimes a possibility, but you often get that cross-eyed look!! Not the case with Khyle, his awake images are just beautiful 🙂
As well as close-up images of your baby awake, I will also capture some full length images which is often when they start showing some of their personality as you can see from the images below.
Newborn sessions can be done at any time up to around 8 weeks but even if you have to wait until your baby is 3 or 4 months old I will still get some amazing images for you. At this age babies are often super smiley and have started to do tummy time. In short, images at all ages are great memories for you to treasure forever 🙂
