Twin newborn photography London – professional photos of your twins

As a professional newborn baby photographer I get to meet lots of gorgeous babies and capture memories for their families, but not a huge amount of twins. I absolutely love it when I do get the opportunity for a twin newborn photography shoot in London though. It’s amazing to be able to photograph the beautiful connection between them!

I come to your London home for your twin newborn photography session which is so much more relaxing for you than going to a studio, especially if your babies have brothers or sisters.

So how does it work at your session? Well first of all your newborns are the bosses! My sessions are always baby-led, which means I work round their sleeping patterns. Luckily most twins are bottle fed which actually means they sleep better. I wait until both twins are in a deep sleep before I try to photograph them together, especially for any tummy poses. It just makes it so much easier as restless babies are not easy to photograph!

Generally what happens is that when one twin is sleeping the other is feeding, so I will use those times to photograph the twin who is asleep. It’s always lovely to capture photos of both twins individually as well as together.

I make sure I take photos of little details such their hands and feet, which are so cute. I love to take photos of the twins holding hands if they are asleep enough that I can get them to do so. Another great photo is having parents hold the twins hands and feet, a memory of how little your babies used to be. I will also include siblings in your newborn twin photoshoot, and the whole family too if you so wish. Black and white photos are my favourites with twins as I just think they are so classic.
